Join us for a walk to the brewing heartland: to some of the finest small breweries in the Bamberg surroundings. Though Bamberg is home to some of the greatest breweries anywhere, locals know there are even more only a short trip away.
This route covers 15 km or or 9 miles and involves some moderately steep sections. It passes through some dense green forest and through a few small scenic villages. It also passes by six small breweries with some of the best beer in the vicinity of Bamberg. As a bonus, two of these breweries have very scenic Bierkellers and if the weather is fine, we couldn’t possibly walk by them without stopping in.
Meeting Point: Bamberg Train Station at 10:45 on Saturdays only.
Duration: 8 hours.
Cost: €75 per person for groups of 4-6. Please inquire for smaller or larger groups or for starts from Munich.
Included: Transportation and guided walk with cultural insights and beery knowledge. First beer is on me. If the walk sounds too long, drop me a line. It is possible to trim the walk down by starting the hike in an alternative village, so tell me what you want and I’ll do my best to make it happen.
For a more relaxed and fuller experience, add an overnight stop in one of the villages. Check out this truly unique experience.
Not quite right, check out the Day Trip to the Fünf Seidla Steig.
