Founded 1901, a bit auspiciously after the marriage of Josef Reh to Maria Hölzlein of the brewing family up the road. This is a stand alone brewery that has no brewery tap. The Landgasthof Lohntal up the hill on the train into town was the only place I knew of that served their beers on tap. Unfortunately, they have at least temporarily closed the restaurant and are currently looking for a person to take it over. Let’s hope they bring the Reh beers back, too!

It’s come to my attention that there is now a tasting room on premises but I haven’t been able to check it out. An update from fellow beerwanderer and award winning documentarian Sara Joe Wolansky who says it’s like being in a beer warehouse with some benches and fridges full of their beer.

I’m looking forward to checking it out for myself but if in the area, the brewery information is below.
