Impression: This was our first beer at the Sandkerwa. I was happy to see a brewery I’d never been to and wanted to get to. That it had ample seating on the river was a huge plus. Looked good despite the sticker shock price of €3.90 which would turn out to be the cheapest beer we’d find at the fest. Initial flavor was good, nice and dry and certainly bitter. There was a burnt caramel note that we weren’t sure we liked though it wasn’t obtrusive. Though it looked well-poured, it was very carbonated. I still want to get out to Stegaurach to try the beer there as it’s not unusual for it to be better at the source even if only 20 minutes away by bus, mostly dependent on it being poured more slowly or the off chance it being gravity dispensed.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
