Kathi-Bräu Dunkles Bockbier

Brewery: Kathi-Bräu
Town:
Heckenhof

Style: Dunkler Bock
Color:
dark brown
Head: off white, dense

Nose:
malty
Body:
full-bodied
Palate: a
big malty flavor with a little chocolate
Finish: clean, bittersweet, not as dry as expected
Served:
on tap at the brewery

Impression:  Kathi-Bräu’s everyday Dunkles is fairly dry so was hoping for the same with their Bock but was slightly disappointed by its finish. Otherwise, it was a very tasty brew with a quenching character for a Bock.  The brewery’s outside seating area has to be one of the most scenic in all of Franconia so sipping on it there was anything but disappointing.

Next beer or back to the beer list.
